Hiccups the Clown

After donning a glittered clown nose and blue and white clown shoes for a baseball game, Hiccups the Clown quickly became a fixture at Dodgers Stadium. Today, the diehard Los Angeles Dodgers fan attends almost all of the team’s home games in a full clown costume.

Soon enough, Dodgers fans were lining up to snap selfies with Hiccups, which earned him a large following on Facebook. While he uses Facebook to connect with his fans, he’s also using it for his other passion: helping others. Hiccups organizes the Hiccups’ Pizza Project. Every month, he and a crew of volunteers hand out pizza, water, tents and supplies to 300 homeless people living in LA’s Skid Row.

“When you’re hungry, I think they could care less what team you’re rooting for,” Hiccups says. “Without Facebook, we would not have created this family of friends that cares.”
